Together with the pieces Incantus, Koan, Canon Canorus and Postscriptum, Ordo Ordinis forms a chamber series Via tintinnabula.

Order, inevitability, and regularity of the processes are here based on the principle of the Moebius’ Strip, and on the symbol of the spinning wheel of Buddha’s Teaching which leads beings to higher understanding, to a higher state of existence. This movement is also a kind of picture, written in the shape of the large stylized Eye.

There are two slightly different repeated melodies, which by inevitable regularity and special order slowly move in phase, shifting until they come to the same constellation as at the beginning. It is the one turn of the Moebius’ Strip, one turn of Dharma wheel, one cycle of the existence. This musical structure serves as the basis for short entries of individual variations in other voices.
